Split PDF cuts one document into several files along the page ranges you name, using 1-based inclusive ranges such as 1-3,5. Ranges are the whole interface, so the page is strict about them: a page that appears in two ranges is rejected rather than guessed at, because there is no way to know which copy you meant and a silent choice would produce a file you did not ask for. At most twenty ranges per split, which keeps the output list readable. Each range becomes its own file, ready to be filed or sent separately. It is the tool for separating a scanned bundle into one file per invoice, for pulling a chapter out of a manual, and for breaking a long report into sections small enough to email. Encrypted files are refused outright. Everything is processed in your browser, and the original document is never modified. The output files are named from the ranges you entered, which makes a split bundle self-describing on disk instead of a set of identically named downloads.

Frequently asked questions about Split PDF
Does Split PDF upload my document?
No. Loading, selecting, and encoding run locally in your browser; nothing is sent, stored, or logged.
How do I write ranges?
Comma-separated pages and spans: 1-3,5 means pages 1, 2, 3, and 5. Pages start at 1.
Can ranges overlap?
No. Duplicate pages are rejected with a message so no output silently repeats content.
Are the outputs full PDFs?
Yes. Each part is a standalone PDF containing exactly the requested pages in order.
