Result

Fill in your details and generate a one-column A4 PDF. Nothing leaves this device.

Resume Builder formats the history you already have into a clean one-column A4 PDF. It asks for roles, dates, achievements, education and skills, then wraps long lines, keeps bullets aligned with a hanging indent, and adds a new page when a section would otherwise run off the bottom. The result is deliberately plain: one typeface, one column, no photo, no coloured sidebar. That is a choice, not a shortcut — a document that parses cleanly is easier for both a tired recruiter and an applicant-tracking system to read. Long achievement lines are wrapped rather than clipped, and leading dashes or bullet characters are stripped so copy-pasted notes do not produce doubled bullets. Everything is generated on your device with pdf-lib; your name, contact details and history never leave the browser, and the PDF is downloaded directly rather than stored.

How to use Resume Builder

  1. Enter your name, headline and contact details.
  2. Add roles, achievements and education.
  3. Generate the PDF and download it.

What you get

  • A one-column A4 PDF with wrapped bullets and section rules.

  • A filename based on your name.

When to use Resume Builder

  • Produce a clean PDF from notes you already keep in a text file.
  • Create a resume without handing personal details to a signup wall.
  • Export a one-column document that applicant-tracking systems parse reliably.
  • Rebuild an older resume with consistent spacing and section headings.

Frequently asked questions about Resume Builder

Does the resume builder upload my personal details?

No. The form and the PDF generation run entirely in the browser, and nothing is stored after you close the page.

Will the PDF work with applicant-tracking systems?

A single-column text PDF is usually parsed more reliably than a designed layout. Test with the specific system if you can, and keep headings conventional.

Can I use a photo or a two-column design?

Not in this version. The builder intentionally produces a text-first document; designed templates would need a different layout engine.

Why do some characters not render?

The PDF uses the built-in Helvetica fonts, which cover Latin text. For other scripts, export from a tool that embeds a suitable font.
